About Us

Bhartiya Samaj, a charitable trust & a non profit making organisation is a team that has weathered the storm and came out the other side triumphantly closer & stronger since 1995. Ever since it registered itself in July 2000, it has always strived to bring together people and form a close knit family so that socio-cultural relations are firmly carried forward to form friendly ties amongst all the communities.

The functioning of Bhartiya Samaj through its objectives and activities has been widely acknowledged not only by the Indian society but also the Government agencies and the NGO's across NZ. Bhartiya Samaj strongly revolves around its core objectives and believes in sincerely following each one of them. The organisation's first & foremost ideology is to unite by voicing opinions followed by support at every sphere to new migrants from India and assist with educational, health & social needs. It goes on to spread awareness about the general facilities available to every individual who seeks for avenues to progress and provide counselling at every step. Furthermore the organisation celebrates festivals, commemorates national events and interacts to cooperate with community organisations to develop healthy relations towards excellence.

It could pose a challenge for someone to ask for more considering that Bhartiya Samaj has allocated its innumerable services for social and educational upliftment. The different wings altogether not only assist the counsel services but also the senior citizens, women, youth and children needs with great dedication that involves emotional and social care to highest level. For the senior citizen's wing, the organisation makes sure that there is intimacy followed by friendship and to socially unite them yoga classes, outings & recreations, regular health acknowledgements, valuable lectures from guest speakers are frequently organised. The centre assists the seniors more towards education and computers by providing them free broadband usage that can be availed by them at their will at the Bhartiya Samaj Community Hall. Over the years the organization has also addressed and resolved social and cultural issues for the Indian members whenever and wherever required.
